Currently, many schools are operating under conditions that no child should have to endure—unsafe, inadequate environments that limit potential before it even has a chance to grow.

WRBLO has developed a bold and actionable solution that it plans to implement at Hadassah Primary and Semei-Kakungulu Schools in Mbale, Uganda— the two schools highlighted in the video. The plan involves demolishing the existing, failing structures and replacing them with two new Hybrid Learning Centres (HLCs), the first of their kind in Africa.

HLCs are not conventional schools. They are designed to be self-sustaining education hubs that will:

- Provide first-class, future-ready education
- Generate their own electricity
- Harvest rainwater for infrastructure and irrigation
- Implement "seed and feed" agricultural programs to ensure food security for children
- Produce surplus crops, livestock, and electricity for local community markets

These features aim to create a learning environment that holistically benefits both students and the surrounding community.

Each HLC is designed to be financially sustainable, creating jobs, generating revenue, covering the cost of children’s education, and strengthening the surrounding community.
